Managing your documents - This month we have added the much-requested ability to move, edit, and control the documents that are uploaded to a VettingGateway profile.

Standard and Enhanced DBS checks have joined our roster of available checks! You can now configure your organisation to be set up for these checks in the admin menu, and add Standard and Enhanced DBS checks to your Custom Bundles!

Password protected attachments - You can now view and unlock password protected attachments and references in VettingGateway!

In this update we also added a search bar to the Verified Companies page, allowing you to effortlessly find the company details you're looking for.

Did you miss us? - While it was only for a short time, our maintenance period has come and gone. During this time we have introduced a number of changes, including:

• Bulk purchase discounts - The more checks you purchase, the bigger the saving!
• Purchase order history - You can now review your previous Marketplace purchases in one handy location!
• Credit validity - You have 12 months to use any new credits you purchase.

Right to Work checks are here! You can now process UK Digital Right to Work checks for your applicants on VettingGateway. You'll find a handy new Transactional Check Bundle for Right to Work checks alongside all our other Bundles, and if you're a Business or Enterprise User you can now add Right to Work checks to any of your Custom Bundles!

It's all about you! - This month we have been hard at work making VettingGateway as User-friendly as possible. We are constantly striving to improve the platform and we couldn't do it without your feedback!

Milestones - Today we welcome a brand new feature in VettingGateway which allows our Enterprise users to set a task reminder for when a specific set of checks have occurred within a vetting profile, often known as limited screening. You can now configure this Milestone feature yourself via our Custom Bundles, and make the most of this vetting function!

Note: Limited Screening is available under our default BS7858 Bundle for all subscription Users as this is part of the BS7858 standard.

Further to some recent feedback from our Users, we have now added the ability for you to contact your referees at any time, even before you have requested a reference from them. You can find the black ‘Contact Referee’ button in each of your reference periods within the Referencing section.

If you have created several Custom Bundles and would like a way to manage them, we've got you covered.

Under Admin > Bundles you can now archive those Custom Bundles that aren't being used anymore, giving you a clearer picture of which Custom Bundles can be used on an invite, and which are no longer active.

Do you currently use Single Sign On within your business? If so, you can now integrate VettingGateway!

This will give you more control as a business when onboarding and off-boarding staff, and will also make logging into VettingGateway faster. We have full instructions on how to get set up here, and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact our support team.

You can now view your reference requests in VettingGateway!

Previously, a reference would be requested and quickly sent out to your referee but with no record for you to view. You can now view the requests sent out to the referees to help build up evidence of the requests and communication with your referees.

All you need to do is switch the feature on when you go to request a reference. It couldn't be easier!

Social Media checks have landed in VettingGateway!

We can now introduce you to the ability to conduct a Social Media Check on your applicants and make this a part of your vetting process.

A Social Media Check identifies a candidate's online history and will report back to you on things such as swearing and profanity, hate speech, and the use of toxic language online.

We have made access to password protected files easier. Files from your referees can be unlocked and merged into the email trail from inside the referee reply section of the reference to make it even easier to access the encrypted files.

This month we have made even more improvements!

We are driven by our customer feedback and are continuing to make some great strides towards improving your VettingGateway experience.

• We have enhanced our data validation on criminal record checks (Basic UK DBS) to help verify accurate data before it is sent to the DBS. If there is an issue we'll highlight to you what area to fix in order to request the application successfully.
• A new field has been added to the Overview Report, you can now see the applicants date of birth in a separate column.

We have gone back through some of our existing features and made general updates to help improve your experience. This covers a wide range of areas such as, but not limited to;

• Improved email ingestion to handle inline images with external urls

• Your 'To Do' List (Task Management) You may have noticed over the last couple of months we have been gradually making some improvements to the tasking system. The improvements have included creating your own tasks, assigning tasks to team members, and providing clearer descriptions on how to action/impact a task, so as to give you a greater opportunity to complete an application in the shortest time possible. We welcome your feedback so please feel free to let us what you think! Just click the 'send feedback' button in the bottom-left of your screen.

• Reference Templates Updated We are also committed to keeping our reference template questions up to date. As such, we have updated our employment and gap reference templates with additional questions.

• We've improved the descriptions of our tasks. If you have ever wondered why a task is on an applicants profile, we've got you covered. This update allows you to get more information on why a task requires an action and what to do next.
• You can now bulk cancel invites if you have an Enterprise subscription. In a few clicks you can reclaim sent applicant invites quickly and efficiently, helping you to manage any unused invite links

How long do we keep your applicants data for? ....... From today those with Admin settings access will have the ability to manage how long we store their applicants data for, this can be done via our Data Management section. As an important GDPR related topic we have placed some documentation on this here for you to review, if you have any questions please do contact us via our support centre.

We are continuing to update our task management options to provide a more intuitive solution for the platform. We have added more filter options for the outstanding task to include more information of the profile and allow more specific filtering for a applicant task searching.

8th April 2022 🥚🐇 Adding a supporting gap referee to a career periods is here!

Now if you are unable to obtain a reference or an acceptable reference to confirm the whereabouts of an applicant’s activity, you can now add a Gap Referee to this period to further support what they were doing during this time.

Tasks: A better way to manage your tasks

We have received lots of feedback from our users in how they would like to manage their everyday vetting tasks (to do list), and we’ve started to implement some of these changes already. You will now notice you can schedule and clear a particular task, giving you even more control over the tasks you wish to action next.

• Scheduling a task will mean you can schedule an action for another day
• Clearing the task will mean you no longer wish to action this task
• More tasks features are coming over the next couple of months!

Online References: Full email trails are available

We have now defaulted your online reference request settings to ensure all replies will be returned with a full email trail and will be placed into VettingGateway in the usual reference panel for you to view. So if you would like an online reference request to include forwarding actions and messaging to and from the referee, you can now switch this on and off if you wish. Should you still prefer to use our shortened online reference template you can do so by turning this option off when you request a reference.
