Warnings

After an applicant submits their profile, VettingGateway scrutinises the data provided to detect discrepancies. If any are found, warnings display on the profile page.

You can customise which warnings are active for your organisation. Warnings that are switched off will not appear on profiles, even if VettingGateway detects the relevant discrepancy.

Configuring Warnings

Within the warnings settings page you'll see a list of all possible checks VettingGateway can perform. Check the box beside each warning you wish to be actioned.

Click Save warning settings to apply your changes. The configuration takes effect immediately across all profiles in your organisation.

Note

Changes to warning settings apply to all profiles going forward. They do not retroactively add or remove warnings from profiles that have already been processed.

Warning Severity

Each warning is assigned a colour-coded flag indicating how urgently it needs to be resolved. These flags appear on the profile page:

Flag Meaning
🔴 Red The issue must be resolved before the profile can be completed.
🟠 Orange The issue requires your attention but does not block profile completion.
🔵 Blue A discrepancy was detected but is not a cause for concern.

See Introduction to Profiles for more detail on how warnings appear and how to resolve them.

Tip

Review your warning configuration as part of your initial setup, before inviting your first applicant. Adjusting warnings after profiles are already in progress can create inconsistencies in how different profiles are assessed.
