Your Dashboard¶
After completing your profile you'll be taken to your new dashboard. You'll also see this page when you login at a later date.
Current Stage¶
At the top of this page you'll see the progress of your background checks. This will show the stage your profile is currently at with a descriptive message and the total number of stages.
When the organisation has completed a stage in their background checking process, this section will update, so you're always able to see whats happening.
What is being checked¶
On the right hand side you'll see a menu detailing the types of checks you'll be undergoing.
When the organisation has completed a check, it'll have a tick beside it, which confirms to you the the check has been performed and no further action is required.
Outstanding Information¶
If there's any outstanding evidence required from you the below box will be shown near the top of the page.
When you upload evidence these requirements will update. When there's no outstanding items, this area will no longer be visible on the page.
Here's how your checks are progressing¶
In this area you'll be given a detailed breakdown of the state of your checks, including:
- References for your background history including work, education, volunteering and unemployment periods.
- Criminial Record Checks
- Travel evidence
- Additional checks
For each entry you may see it's current status and you may click to view more information.
As the organisation works through your background checks, the statuses of these entries will change, so you're always able to see the current state of play.
Once your checks are complete¶
Once you have submitted your profile, the organisation will begin processing the background checks. This may include:
- Obtaining references for work, education, volunteering and unemployment periods
- Acquiring Criminal Record Checks
- Performing additional checks (such as a credit check)
- Contacting gap and character referees
- Validating the evidence that has been provided
Your dashboard will provide clear information as to what's being checked for the profile. The organisation may you via the 'Messages' function if the require more information.
